01—Meet the Founders
John Deliberto
Co-founder. Engineering.
John is a licensed Professional Engineer and a District Engineer at the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he oversees billions of dollars of highway, bridge, and rail work and manages a team of over 200 people. Before and alongside that, he ran his own web development shop for 15 years — websites, SEO, and honest advice for small business owners.
At Native Firm, he designs and builds every system we ship. He's the technical partner small businesses wish they had. John met Mick when they were 15, at their high school in Westchester and they've been best friends ever since. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and two kids.
Michael Costa
Co-founder. Business & product.
Mick has started and scaled multiple companies. He built an agent banking network across West Africa that grew to 500 agents, 100,000 users, 40 staff and over $1M ARR. This saw him partner with Barclays Africa and raise over $10M from top VCs. He also co-founded a blockchain voting startup that was acquired, then built a community finance app that hit 10,000 users in its first six months. Most recently, he led strategy and AI adoption across myriad companies while Chief of Staff of a premier NYC venture studio. He's also a lawyer and member of the New York State Bar.
At Native Firm, he leads the business side and sweats the product outcomes. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two kids.
